'''Barrier Shield Generators''' are [[Eldar]] structures that generate barriers disguised as part of the environment they are placed in, such as rock cliff-faces. These barriers are used to protect the Eldar's bases from attack and are impossible to pass through, even if an attacking force knew where to look for the disguised barrier. One draw back of their use, is that the Generators give off an energy source that if detected, makes it possible for the Eldar's enemies to locate them. An attacking force would then have to seek them out, on paths that will take them through heavy Eldar resistance, in order to destroy them and remove the barriers; allowing them to reach the Eldar's base.{{Fn|1}}
