'''Mearopyis''' is a former [[Imperial]] world, that was conquered by the [[Noctal]] species. The [[Xenos]] enslaved the world's population for thousands of years, until in late [[M41]] the Imperium returned to reclaim it. Now a large [[Imperial Navy]] fleet, under the command of [[Admiral]] [[Veniston]], fights the Noctal's warships in Mearopyis' orbit. Meanwhile, three-quarters of a million [[Astra Militarum]] [[Guardsmen]] are attempting to seize control of the Xenos' capital on the world. If they do so, the world will soon be ruled by the Imperium once more.{{Fn|1}}
