Not KIA, but presumedly died of old age. Changed "K.I.A." to "Died")"'' It is not permissible to use your personal interpretation or presumptions as an argument. Only what the actual source says is relevant. So if you want to change KIA to "died" that is legitimate if the source says "died". Or if the source does not explicitly say he was KIA. But checking the source and what it says exactly it essential.  Otherwise you can't change it.
