Prometheus
Prometheus is Nocturne's moon and the Fortress-monastery of the Salamanders. The monastery is the only construction built there and has a great dock were the chapters' Strike Cruisers and Battle Barges can be restored. It is an over-sized moon, causing Nocturne massive stress in the tectonic plates.
An event, which is known as the Time of Trials, occurs every Terran year. During this time, the planets' thousands of active volcanoes erupt and the seas rise up in vast waves.1
While Prometheus is technically the headquarters of the Salamanders Chapter, the Marines of the Chapter do not spend a great deal of time there, preferring to spend their limited time home to live amongst the people of Nocturne training in isolation and passing on their knowledge to the next generation.
