Love what you've done putting all the Book covers in order at the bottom of the article, Nice... -- Endeavour 20:52, 18 July 2008 (CEST)

I switched the books section and covers section as I think the titles of the books, which comprise the series, are more important than the covers (even though they are great;)). It makes more sense (to me at least) to place the titles first in this article. -- JoeneB, 17 February 2007, 16:10 (CET)

Notable Characters

I added a list of (notable) characters to the article. This is a work in progress. I wanted to add more info but just found out my dad took my Horus Heresy books with him to read during his vacation. He'll be back today so later this week I'll edit/add some more and will try to group them according to the novels they appear in. The names that are listed now are those I could remember ;). The plan is to make this article more like the Last Chancers (Novel Series) as requested by SanchiTachi. -- JoeneB, 19 July 2007, 13:42 (CEST)
I've updated the list with Legion's characters. Wasn't sure how much detail is wanted here - several characters in the dramatis personae barely talk, and I'm unsure whether to include them. I've left the ones who actually spoke a little bit in, but I might take them out later. Oh, and should we be including expedition numbers in the non-astartes personnel (and Imperial Army personnel)? I did for one or two, but it'll just look cluttered soon. Kelmin 15:18, 23 February 2008 (CET)
Personally, I feel the expedition numbers are unnecessary, and that some of the characters listed (not just some of those from Legion) are rather too minor to appear; I would rather the character list feature just principal characters rather than everyone from the dramatis personae lists. --Mob 19:42, 29 February 2008 (CET)
Does no one else think Corax and Vulkan should be listed just after Ferrus? I mean they were at the Drop Site Massacre BritBoy 02:27, 15 March 2008 (CET)
I agree with this. Also, I pulled some minor characters from the list, they don't seem notable enough to justify inclusion here. Thoughts? --Mob 23:34, 16 March 2008 (CET)
And again; changing character list to 'Notable', to make it more useful. What exactly makes a notable character may be up for debate, but I think these were justifiable cuts. Thoughts? --Mob 21:26, 24 July 2008 (CEST)
The list of Notable Characters has risen to over 100. I feel that this section would be better served by moving it to the individual book's articles. What do the other's think? --Rlyehable 00:17, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
Indeed, a good candidate for a move, or even its own total article.--Jonru 00:21, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
Agree (moving). And a List of Horus Heresy Characters article - why not.--Genestealer, Magus 01:03, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
Agree and also agree with the creation of List of Horus Heresy Characters article.Kobol 14:05, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Sounds good. Let's do it and see how it goes.--Mob 04:45, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
Done the above, all swift and dirty-like. There's obvious room for improvement, but upon looking at the resulting pages, I think this was a good idea.--Mob 06:03, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Art Books

Would it be appropiate to add the http://www.blacklibrary.com/product.asp?prod=60040181012&type=Book books here? A good description of them is here http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.php?autocom=ineo&showarticle=7 And not to forget the card game which spawned all this trouble in the first place http://www.sabertoothgames.com/horus/lore_articles.asp

--Zigguratei 23:02, 27 February 2008 (CET)

IMHO, I think the art books would best be served by a having their own page, and again a separate page for the card game. --Mob 19:42, 29 February 2008 (CET)

Saturine Fleet

Wasn't this "saturnine" with n? --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 16:40, 17 October 2008 (CEST)

Yep. Fixed. --Mob 17:14, 19 October 2008 (CEST)

How long will the series be?

Is it known how long the entire series is planned to be? Spectrum 01:54, 23 December 2008 (CET)

Till the books stop selling in sufficient quantities. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 02:05, 23 December 2008 (CET)

Just a suggestion, but shouldn't Omegon be listed as Primarch of the Alpha Legion right next to Alpharius. In the book Legion, he is listed as being an equal Primarch by the Cabal.

The non-novel stuff

Should we include it in the gallery? That little list at the bottom is only going to get longer, and it feels a shame not have all the cover artwork in the galley. Also, what with novellas coming out like this new Sallies one, the boundaries of what we're excluding from the novels list as 'not main series' are becoming blurry.--Mob 18:37, 16 April 2011 (CEST)

If we can scrap the images from somewhere, and as long as we can properly source from those complimenting sources, I don't see any problems with that. --DetlefK 00:19, 17 April 2011 (CEST)
Seeing as the series does not follow a strict timeline plot-wise, I think we can safely exclude the anthologies, novella(s) and audio books from the main list of novels. There is no reason why those can't have their own sections. --Halogian 16:03, 20 April 2011 (CEST)

Title

Seeing as the books themselves refer to the series as "The Horus Heresy" (rather than simply "Horus Heresy"), would it not be appropriate to move this article to reflect that? I realize the Black Library website lists the series as "Horus Heresy", but I wonder if that is not attributable to lazy webmasters and/or ease of navigation. There is also the matter of the improper capitalization of "series" in the article title, but that is a widespread issue on Lexicanum that can be dealt with later. Anyway, thoughts? --Halogian 16:09, 20 April 2011 (CEST)
