An Imperial Guard Trojan Support Vehicle

History

In the 41st Millennium

The Trojan rarely sees action beyond the front lines as it is even more lightly armoured than a Chimera. It is however a common sight behind allied lines, going to and fro from the supply depots. It is quick and easy to manufacture and efficient in its role with its built in crane for lifting heavy objects. It has removed some of the other features of the Chimera, such as the medi-packs and targeters, which make even more space within its hull. Trojans are also often seen towing trailers full of more supplies, usually of fuel, ammo and general supplies.

There have been occasions when Trojans have been converted into combat vehicles, although these are desperate times. Sometimes Autocannons are attached to provide anti-air defence, extra armour plates bolted on to create an armoured carrier, communications equipment added to make a specialist comms vehicle or even turning it into a light bridge layer. They are never as successful as their counterparts, but they often do the job when the alternatives are unavailable.

They are often given names such as 'the Mule', 'the Drey', 'Draggin' waggon' and 'Mud-hog'.
