Anakwanar Sek[3c]

Anakwanar Sek is one of the Chaos warlords encountered during the famed Sabbat Worlds Crusade. His followers address him as the Anarch, "whose voice drowns out all others." [2]

History

A Magister under Archon Nadzybar, Sek quickly became notorious to the Imperial forces of the Crusade as the most brilliant tactician and strategist among Nadzybar's lieutenants, with the possible exception of Heritor Asphodel.[1][3a][3b]

When Archon Nadzybar fell on Balhaut in 765.M41, bloody fights for overall command of the remaining Chaos forces began. Eventually, Urlock Gaur would win the upper hand, despite being neither a genius nor a charismatic leader. Gaur had what all other contenders did not: the Blood Pact, a disciplined and experienced land army. Other contenders commanded nothing but bands of fanatical cultists.[Needs Citation]

Sek next appeared as a subordinate commander of the Blood Pact, commanding the Chaos counteroffensive on Enothis.[4a] He was forced to flee the planet after the Battle of the Zophonian Sea, when the Imperials established air superiority and allowed Lord Militant Humel to counter-attack and assault the Trinity Hives.[4b]

Sek realized that in order to place himself in a position to eventually challenge Gaur for overall command, he required fighting resources equal to that of Gaur. It would be on the agricultural world Gereon that the process of building Sek's army would begin.[Needs Citation]

Gereon was to be the site of initial training facilities for "The Sons of Sek” under the supervision of Traitor General Noches Sturm, formerly of the Royal Volpone Imperial Guard Regiment, and a former Blood Pact Commander. Like the Blood Pact, the Sons of Sek were to be formed around the structure of the Imperial Guard.[Needs Citation]
