The Battle of the Borghesh Channel was a battle between the Imperium and forces of Chaos.

The battle saw 20 Imperial Navy ships destroyed by a Death Guard fleet, causing the Imperium to lose its grip on three Sub-Sectors. When Imperial forces arrived 60 years later to reclaim the region, all they found was a metal orb floating in space with the corpse of the Imperial Navy commander, Orthum Hemo, nailed to it.[1]

At least one Imperial Navy vessel, the Undying Valour, was captured during the Battle and used by the Death Guard thereafter.[1]
