Fire Prism with Prism Cannon
The Prism Cannon is an Eldar weapon of great destructive potential. It uses a medium strength laser beam and passes it through a finely tuned crystal prism which both greatly amplifies the power of the laser and spreads it over a large area. This makes the weapon use a two stage firing mechanism, although with the advanced Eldar technology this is not a problem.
Parts of the Prism Cannon
- Primary charge chamber - at the rear of the weapon, where the original laser beam is created
- Laser acceleration chamber - in the centre of the weapon, where the laser is increased in power
- Prism focus adjusment motors - at the end of the Laser chamber, which focuses the great prism to provide the biggest power output
- Main prism - at the end of the weapon, where the laser is increased in power and distributed over a larger area for maximum destructive power
Uses
The Prism Cannon is only ever mounted on a Fire Prism gravtank.
