The 2nd Brotherhood of the White Scars, known as the Firefist Brotherhood, is one of the Chapter's ten Brotherhoods.[1][2a][2b]
Overview
The Firefist Brotherhood are renowned scholars who have mastered the principles of the Chogorian way of war. The Brotherhood's name refers to its initiation ritual; those Brothers who aspire to the 2nd Brotherhood's ranks must journey overland to a region of Chogoris far from the Khum Karta and climb into a deep volcano known as the Mouth of Flame. Once there, they must claim a gemstone from the boiling chemical mass. Once they have returned to Quan Zhou, bearing the scar formed by grasping the hot crystal, they are allowed to wear the gemstone as a charm.[2b]
The Khan of the 2nd Brotherhood bears the title Master of Lore.[2a][2b]
