The '''Atalantic Plain''' is a region on [[Terra]] that thousands of years before the [[Horus Heresy]] had been covered by a sea. At the time of the [[Horus Heresy]] it was a vast desert with a few minor inland seas ringed by caravan townships and much of the desert had been consumed by the growing Terran hivesprawl[[hive]]sprawl. At this time the uninhabited parts of the Atalantic Plain were one of the last few wilderness areas of Terra, its only residents being bandits and clans of junkhunters chasing the ancient canyons filled with decaying wrecks of old seacraft. {{Fn|1}}
