Imperial Fighter Wings are Imperial Navy Wings that contain Lightnings, Lightning Strikes and Thunderbolts.[Needs Citation]

83rd Fighter Wing

Contains 'Eagle' squadron (3rd squadron), a Thunderbolt squadron. Camouflaged for low level operations over deserts of Quatara-Prime.[1b]

103rd Fighter Wing

Thunderbolts from this wing served in an escort capacity for Arvus Lighters during the Invasion of Rynn's World.[5a]

301st Fighter Wing

Contains 'Vanquish' squadron, a Thunderbolt squadron which served during the Invasion of Rynn's World.[5b]

386th Fighter Wing

Contains 'Falcon' squadron (T squadron), a Thunderbolt Squadron. Standard codex grey colour scheme with red decals.[1b]

484th Fighter Wing

Contains 'Talon' squadron, a Lightning Strike Squadron. Camouflaged for operations in urban areas.[1a]

490th Fighter Wing

Contains 'Wyvern' squadron (2nd squadron), a Thunderbolt Squadron. Camouflaged to fight above the ash wastes of Armageddon during the Third Armageddon War.[1b]

Contains 'Warhawk' squadron, a Lightning Squadron, one of a Lightning named Storm III.[1a]

3659th Fighter Wing

Contains 'Harrier' squadron (A squadron), a Thunderbolt squadron. Camouflaged for low level woodland operations on Lammas. Just for 4 days of dogfights the wing losses in this campaign 75% of aircrafts - shot down by the Eldar Nightwings. Such loses counted as not unusual when facing Eldar aircraft.[4][1b]

5082nd Naval Wing

The 5082nd involved in the defence of Hive Helsreach during the Third War for Armageddon.[2]

Sixteen of its Lightnings were given the honour to be marked with the Templar Cross after serving with Marshal Tarrison in the Dathax Crusade.[2]

5729 Naval Wing

Contains 'Vampire' Lightning Squadron.[3]
