Morod was an Imperial Forge World, that was been infested by a Genestealer Cult named The Congregation of the Divine Union[2a]. The Cult preached that Morod's Tech-Priests, are keeping the Forge World's Tech-thralls from their true salvation – a long-prophesied union with angels. The radical Genetor Gammat Triskellian has learned of the Cult, however, and he hoped to use it to end the stagnant corruption, Gammat believed has overtaken Morod.[1]
The Forge World was then beset by a Genestealer Rebellion and the Tyranid arrived and consumed the world but not before The Congregation of the Divine Union sent out ships to spread their infection.[2b]
