Contents
Background
A product of the Second Founding, the Storm Lords have always maintained a strong sense of rivalry with the White Scars. They frequently compete with their forebears for glory, and have been known to go to reckless lengths in order to emerge victorious.[5]
They are also renowned for the ferocity with which they hunt Ork Waaaghs! and the walls of their Fortress-Monastery's feasting halls are lined with the scalps of slain Warbosses.[4]
Notable Battles
- The War of the Beast.[7]
- The Death of the Witching Moon
- Third War for Armageddon — The Storm Lords committed 2 Brotherhoods of Space Marines to the defence of Armageddon.[2] They fought along with their White Scars and Salamanders brethren. They earned the honour of drawing first blood against Warboss Deffdrekka's Speed Freeks, much to the chagrin of the White Scars.[4]
- Reclaiming Rynn's World from the Ork menace.[6]
- 13th Black Crusade.[8]
- Octarius War[10]
- The Siege of Vhot, where the Storm Lords fought alongside elements of the Dark Hunters.[11]
Notable Storm Lords
- Balzach — Sergeant who became an infamous Chaos Lord.[Needs Citation]
- Hasdrubal — Member of the Deathwatch[9]
- Tulwei — Member of the Deathwatch during the War of the Beast[7]
- Vayren — 3rd Company's Champion. Winner of the Rites of Blooding with the White Scars, who went on to join the Chapter for a full cycle.[11]
