Realm of Chaos was a two part series of books first created in 1988 and finished in 1990 for First Edition of Rogue Trader. The works discuss the four deities of Chaos and the various aspects of the Warp. The books were designed for both the Warhammer 40,000 Universe and the Warhammer Fantasy Universe.

This information as since been supersceeded, but still influences the way Chaos has been talked about in Third and Fourth Edition, inspiring the Horus Heresy novels and the Liber Chaotica set of books.

Slaves to Darkness discusses the nature of Khorne and Slaanesh and the Lost and the Damned was created later to discuss Nurgle and Tzeentch.
