Dorian Black is a Cadian Sergeant in the service of Inquisitor Eisenhorn.[1]

Biography

Black was born on Cadia, near the Eye of Terror. Black was gifted at birth with a rare mutation that makes him a Psychic null, or Pariah, invisible and immune to psychic attacks. This condition isolated him from others, making him feel alien and alone.[1]

Despite his isolation, Black's physical prowess and determination earned him the rank of Sergeant in the Cadian shock troops. His unique abilities remained unnoticed until a mission on Misril VIII, where he survived a psychic attack that killed his squad, revealing his Pariah nature. Suspected of heresy due to his survival, Black was imprisoned until Inquisitor Eisenhorn discovered his true nature. Given a choice between death or service, Black chose to join Eisenhorn's entourage, where he has served faithfully ever since.[1]
