Codex: Sisters of Battle is the codex for the Sisters of Battle during the 5th Edition of Warhammer 40,000. It was published in the White Dwarf magazine in August 2011[1] and September 2011.[2]

An official note declares it Chapter Approved as an official Codex for Warhammer 40000, replacing Codex: Witch Hunters (3rd Edition)[1a].

Contents

This codex contains a brief history of the Adepta Sororitas as well as the army list and all the rules necessary to field an army of the Sisters of Battle.[1]

Part One

The first part contains the army's background, army rules, and unit descriptions.[2]

Part Two

The second part contains the Army List, Wargear, and point costs. This issue also contains a battle report featuring the Sisters of Battle versus the Tyranids.[1]

Notable Changes

The codex notably removed all elements of the Inquisition found in the previous codex, which are now exclusively found in Codex: Grey Knights (5th Edition), leaving only the elements of the Sisters of Battle and the Ecclesiarchy.[1]

Confessors and their enclaves were added to the codex. Uriah Jacobus and Kyrinov return as special characters from Codex: Sisters of Battle (2nd Edition). The army's Acts of Faith was also completely revised from the previous version.[1]
