The Expendables are an Imperial Penal Legion, that is composed of scumbags, cheats and cutthroats.[1]
History
They start a campaign virtually weaponless and are forced to arm themselves with whatever they can find. An exception to this, though, is when the Expendables are deployed in battalions, where as per standard Penal Legion orders, they are issued a Missile Launcher with a single missile. The Expendables are also escorted by armed guards, who ensure the prisoners carry out the missions the Penal Legion have been given.[1]
