The Ark-Class is a class of Forge-ships.[1a]
The precise affiliation is not clear. A ship of this class, the Archimedes Rex, bore Adeptus Mechanicus-colours[1a], yet it produced Space Marine equipment and weapons[1d].
Description
The Ark-class is the size of a Cruiser and roughly shaped like a mace.[1a] It is heavily armed, including lances[1a] and a launch-bay for fighters[1b].
Deep inside, there are several fully automated manufactora manned by Servitors. Some of these manufactora produce simple parts which in turn feed other on-board manufactora, where they are assembled into the finished products.[1b] The Ark-class produces:
- MkVII Space Marine Power Armour [1c]
- Bolters [1c]
- Bolter-ammunition [1c]
- Heavy Bolters [1d]
- Heavy Bolter ammunition [1d]
- Space Marine Missile Launchers [1d]
- Rocket Launcher ammunition [1d]
- Flamers [1d]
- Promethium fuel-tanks for Flamers [1d]
The Ark-class also contains cryo-pods for keeping individuals in stasis.[1c]
