Before defecting to the [[Farsight Enclaves]] she lived in [[Gel'byrn City]] on [[Dal'yth]]{{Fn|2c}} with her [[Bonding_Knife#Ta.27lissera|bond-mates]] were [['Fio'Rabal]] and [[Rivertell]].{{Fn|2b}} On [[Dal'yth]] was was a member of the [[Company of Inner Light]]; a secret society dedicated to the [[True Tau'va]] and [[O'Shovah|Commander Farsight]]. Torchstar brought evidence to the sciety that the [[ethereals]] knew of a [[Hive Fleet Gorgon|tyranid]] fleet approaching the [[Farsight Enclaves]], and that they intended to not warn [[O'Shovah|Farsight]] of it. However the [[Company of Inner Light]] deemed it a lost cause to try and warn the [[Farsight Enclaves|Enclaves]] themselves. Torchstar burst out at the other members of the society in rage and then endeavoured to defect to the [[Farsight Enclaves]] on her own.{{Fn|2e}}
