Operation Thunderstorm was the Expeditio Reclamatus to find and retrieve the wreckage of Commissar Yarrick's personal Baneblade, the Fortress of Arrogance, from the Ork World of Golgotha, in or around 998.M41, shortly before the outbreak of the Third War for Armageddon. Yarrick and the Departmento Munitorum believed that the famous tank would be a much-needed boost to morale for the Imperial forces defending Armageddon from Waaagh! Ghazghkull.[1c]
The Operation was undertaken by 18th Army Group Exolon, under the command of General Mohamar deViers.[1]
