==HistoryOverview==

Few Acolytes are granted this privilege, which is often only given after many decades of service. Some serve independently from their master in groupings with other Acolytes, while some others accompany their master in his Inquisitorial duties. At some point{{Fn|1}} Some enjoy direct tutelage beneath their masters, his or her master may recommend while other might be stranded (sometimes unintentionally due to the Ordos emergence of the [[InquisitionGreat Rift]] ) and left to advance the Acolyte to full Inquisitorial rank. After this, the Interrogator is a full Inquisitor and begins his their own agenda and operations. Although the former Interrogator is no longer bound devices to his old master, the two will have formed a bond and may work together and help one another in the futureprove their readiness for High Office.{{Fn|111}}
Similarly, Interrogators who serve under the same Inquisitor will likely have shared the same harsh experiences in training and have come to rely on one another to survive their mentorship. Once graduated to full Inquisitors, they will likely part ways but call upon one another if the need for aid is dire. Inversely, they might become rivals or juxtaposed in ideologies, seeking to undermine each other's work whenever possible.{{Fn|10b}} Some apprentice Inquisitors start at the rank of [[Explicator]], where they learn how to extract information using torture under the direction of their mentor Inquisitor. Explicators then move up as more experience is gained in the ways of the Inquisition to the rank of Interrogator.{{Fn|2}} If an Interrogator's Inquisitor dies, the apprentice can be raised up to the rank of Inquisitor themselves, with the immediate goal of finishing the work of their former master. However, this is considered unconventional by some, and requires a statement and recommendation from another Inquisitor.{{Fn|1010a}}
