The Chinchare System, also known as the Cinchare System[4] is an Imperial System that was located in the Chinchare Subsector of the Segmentum Obscurus near the Eye of Terror.[1] When first discovered it was a system of 9 planets and an asteroid belt[4] which continued through M30 when the system had been a neighbour of 3458 Dornal.[5]

Once not far from the Eye of Terror, now it lies almost at the edge of the Segmentum Obscurus close to the Halo Stars. The explanation of this phenomenon is that Chinchare orbits a rogue star; plagued by gravitic storms, the whole Chinchare System wanders through the fringes of the Halo Stars at the edge of Imperial space.[5]
In the millennia between M30 and M40, it reached the Pymbyle Major System and Pymbyle Minor System, and had suffered two serious cosmological collisions.[5] By M41 it had 6 planets and a fan of asteroid belts.[4]
Known Worlds
