Saur Damocles was Captain of the Ultramarines Legion's 6th Company during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1a][1b]

Biography

Damocles and his company were present on Calth when the Ultramarines and Word Bearers were ordered by Horus to muster for the Ghaslakh Crusade. When the Word Bearers revealed their true allegiance and attacked the Ultramarines, Damocles led his company in the resulting Battle of Calth.[1b]

His company's sigil was a figure-eight serpent.[1b] He later founded the Iron Snakes, a Successor Chapter of the Ultramarines, after the Heresy.[2] The chapter's symbol was likewise a double-looped serpent, and one of its notable Tactical Squads was named Damocles.[3]
