Shield Generator[4]
Tau Shield Generators are used to generate a small forcefield which is useful for defending against attacks that would normally bypass normal armour and affect the wearer directly.[1] They come in various sizes and purposes, including both as battlesuit support system[2] and as a large building sized shield generator.[5] These shields are strong enough to absorb a small number of lascannon shots.[3] The field generated by the battlesuit versions encompasses the user completely.[2]
