Lieutenant-Commander was a rank used in the Space Marine Legions during the Horus Heresy.[1]
They would be the commander of a Battalion, a level of command between Chapter and Company. Depending on the Legion, the designation would vary and could be Commander, First Captain, Shadow Captain, Marshal, Legate.[2]
