Solarite Power Gauntlets were augmented Power Fist Solarite Weapons[1] that were greatly favored by the officers of the Imperial Fists Legion[2] and the Adeptus Custodes.[1]
Description
They were crafted for the elite of the Thunder Warriors[1] and were made in imitation of the ancient relics of Terra. The Imperial Fists' Solarite Gauntlets had nigh-indestructible casings, that were fashioned in weapon forges fed from the fires of the Phalanx's vast plasma core. The Gauntlets also served as a spiritual link to their Legion's Primarch, Rogal Dorn, as well as embodying the Imperial Fists' heraldic icon in the shape of a powerful weapon.[2] Millenia later, their Chapter is reputed to still have a few of the Solarite Guantlets, which are now known as the Fists of Terra.[3] The Adeptus Custodes' Gauntlets, meanwhile, were composed of near-irreplaceable artefact power coils, which energized their Disruption Field generators. They also had nigh-indestructible casings, which were forged in furnaces recovered from the ancient Tempest Galleries, near Terra's molten core.[1]
