The Splinter Pistol is a Dark Eldar weapon and part of the Dark Eldar Armoury. It is, like its larger brothers the Splinter Rifle and Splinter Cannon, a weapon which fires a stream of crystal shards which, even a small cut or graze, can cause immense pain. It is often carried by shock troops and, while smaller, its only deficiency is that of a shorter effective firing range.
Like most Dark Eldar weapons, it can be fitted with a close combat attachment, usually a wickidly sharp blade designed to slash and stab at the enemy.
Incubi in the Dark Eldar Pain Legions have a special, possibly neurally activated, Splinter Pistol mounted in their helmets, allowing them use both a ranged weapon and keep their hands free for close combat.
