Battle Sisters are the core forces of the Adepta Sororitas. They make up many of the squads of the Sisters and are very well armed and armoured.

Background
Battle Sisters are recruited from the numerous Schola Progenium facilities spread across the galaxy; the male members of the Schola go on to become Storm Troopers and Commissars while the females become Battle Sisters. They are fiercely loyal to the Emperor and have a bitter hatred for mutants, witches and heretics. For this matter, they are often recruited into Witch Hunter armies controlled by the Ordo Hereticus, and often led by an Inquisitor.

The Celestians are Battle Sisters who have excelled themselves in battle. This is a similar rank to the Veteran Marine of the Space Marines and the Hardened Veteran of the Imperial Guard.
