Hololiths are typically either blue, green, or some shade between. The form created by the projection ribbons are heavily striated mote strands, not quite true-[[pict]]-quality. Frameshift technologies made flaws inevitable and can't be ironed out due to simple physics. At close range and in good conditions, the best holocast provided a phantom figure, alongside an audio buzzing. Jag and tear is common in long-range holocasts.{{Fn|9}}
