Chainfists are Power fists with a bayonet.
The Chainfist is a variant of the Power Fist equipped with , a weapon often used by the Adeptus Astartes. The Power Fist is a large glove that is attached over a warriors guantlet. It uses neurological technology much like that used in bionics, meaning the fist responds to the movement of the user, in the same way his own hand would. The large guantlet is then sheathed in a crackling energy field, meant to disrupt matter. The field can quite litteraly punch through a tanks armor of rip a man in two. The chainfist is created when a power fist has a small chainsword bladechain sword attached to it, the size of a large bayonet. This powerful but cumbersome weapon is also covered by the energy field, and is used to carve through armored bulkheads and such. It can also be used quite effectivly in close combat, punching through even Tactical Dreadnought or "Terminator" armor. The power fist and chainfist are most often used by the elite of the Adeptus Astartes, or Space Marine TerminatorsMarines, especially by tank hunter specialists as they are often called. A warrior using a power fist or chainfist is often also equipped with Tactical Dreadnought or boarding parties because of "Terminator" armor, for short. The weapon is slow and cumbersome, however. It is also hard to reposition after a missed swing, meaning the great capacity of user will usually get hit first simply bringing it to bear, and again if he misses. The Imperial Guard also uses power fists, though they are rare, and only given to officers. Commissar Yarrick is famed for the weapon Power Klaw he ripped from a slain Ork Nob. Other races are known to cut through use power fists, or something like them. The Eldar use the technology, albiet in a sleeker, more sophisticated manner, with thier Striking Scorpions. The Orks have made a crude version sometimes carried known as the thickest armour"Power Klaw". It consists of three blades in place of fingers, both vehicles and buildings includedis used to grab an enemy before slicing them in half with the powerful pincers.
