As with much of the Renegade Armoury, the Basilisk is one of many Imperial vehicles seen in the hands of [[Chaos]] renegades. Artillery is used in support of massed infantry assaults via long ranged explosives and with little regard to striking their own forces.{{Fn|29}}

[[Chaos Space Marines]], such as the [[Iron Warriors]], are known to make use of Basilisks - both as the [[Traitor Legions]] of the [[Horus Heresy]]{{Fn|8}} and later as the various [[Warband]]s of post heresy and beyond.{{fn|25}}
