Ultima Segmentum

The Ultima Segmentum is home to many worlds as it is the largest segmentum in the Imperium. It contains the Ultramarines empire of Ultramar. The Segmentum Naval Base is Kar Duniash.

It has seen attacks by two separate Tyranid Hive Fleets, Behemoth and Kraken. It also contains the persistent warp storm known as the Storm of the Emperor's Wrath. It also contains the Maelstrom, a warp-real space convergence much like the Eye of Terror, but on a smaller scale. The Maelstrom harbours various piratical renegades who use it to launch raids from.
