The Chalice Class Battlecruiser was meant to be a fast heavy [[cruiser]]; utilizing a combination of light armour and powerful weapons. It had been theorised that this combination would allow the vessel to outrun or outmanoeuvre any ship it could not immediately annihilate. Unfortunately, design flaws caused many problems; some of which include weak armour and a tendency for plasma conduits to rupture under sustained assault.<sup>1</sup>
