Ebzan was a Trooper of the Jantine Patricians Imperial Guard Regiment[1b] who served as an aide to Colonel Draker Flense.[1a]
Biography
At one point in the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, the Patricians were deployed on Menazoid Epsilon.[1b] The regiment's commanding officer, Colonel Flense, wanted to avenge a blow to his honour by killing Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt[1c] and so assembled a team of five Troopers, including Ebzan, to divert from the main advance and track down Gaunt in a series of tunnels beneath a Chaos necropolis.[1b]
The Jantines successfully lured Gaunt into an ambush using a wounded Dorden as bait. There, Flense and Gaunt fought a duel to the death with Gaunt winning. The remaining Patricians tried to kill Gaunt themselves, but a team of Tanith Guardsmen arrived in time to kill Ebzan and the others.[1c]
