Lilith Abfequarn is a female Inquisitor of the Ordo Hereticus.[2]

Biography

Lilith was born the daughter of a governess of a planet that lay at the edge of an Aeldari raiding territory. Lilith's mother died in a raid, which resulted in her developing a hatred and later fascination with the Aeldari. As a psyker, she was singled out by the Black Ships.[3b]

Abfequarn served in the retinue of Inquisitor Myzard during the 400's.M41.[4] She had ash-blonde hair and was rated very highly by Inquisitor Gideon Ravenor, who believed she would be sent after him by Inquisitor Rorken when he went rogue in 403.[4] Harlon Nayl, a member of Ravenor's team was struck by her beauty and continuously stared at her indiscreetly, as noted by Ravenor.[1]

In 406.M41, she would bring Zael Effernetti, a teenaged psyker in Ravenor's retinue, to Titan to undergo the process of becoming a Grey Knight.[2]

Sabbat Worlds Crusade

She was ordered, by Lord Militant General Bulledin in 768.M41 to assess and sanction the dangers of witchcraft during the liberation of Monthax in the Sabbat Worlds.[4] It was here, after accusations over a gambling fraud with other Guard regiments, that she investigated the adjutant Brin Milo, who was at the time in the service of Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt of the Tanith First and Only, for being an undiscovered psyker. However, Milo was cleared when he revealed that the fraud was a simple con trick and not, as the vengeful men of the Royal Volpone claimed, psyker powers.[3a]

During the ground assault of the Chaos forces on Monthax, a devastating psychic storm was summoned by the Eldar Seer Eon Kull, the guardian of an ancient Webway gate that led back to Craftworld Dolthe, in an effort to prevent the forces of Chaos from reaching it. However, the strain was too much for Kull and the storm raged out of control. Lilith was sent to investigate, and she discovered the net of deceit woven by the seer: an illusion to draw Imperial forces to the beleaguered Eldar's aid. In the middle of the storm, she found an Eldar temple containing the Webway gate. When Eon Kull died, Lilith used her own powers to transport the remaining Eldar back through the Webway and closed the warp gate behind them forever. Lilith disappeared along with the Eldar to understand her nemesis.[3b]
