==History==
The cluster of asteroids that would become Footfall was settled by the [[Rogue Trader]] [[Parsimus Dewain]] in 410.[[M41]]. He sought to build a grand palace on Footfall, but some of Dewain's followers questioned the sanity of such an order. For doing so, some were put to death by being sealed alive within the walls of the world's rapidly expanding void settlement{{Fn|1a}}. Dewain would then become the [[Imperial Commander|Liege]] of Footfall and in time it would become a wealthy waystation. However after Dewain's death in 498.M41, the world immediately became submerged in a struggle for its political and economic control.{{Fn|1b}}
