During the [[Shadow Crusade]] the [[Word Bearers]] and [[World Eaters]] sought to isolate and destroy Tigrus before it could move its support to the [[Ultramarines]], but due to the [[Battle of Calth]] only a small traitor force managed to arrive. The ruling [[Magos|Magi]] of Tigrus were able to scatter the traitor host and then subsequently launched a counteroffensive into the greater Eastern Fringe.{{Fn|6}}
Tigrus was overrun by the [[ork]]s of the [[Warboss|Warlord]] [[Arrgard the Defiler]] in [[M35]]. Even into late [[M41]], it was still in ork Ork hands.{{Fn|1}}
By the year 747.M41 Forge Tigrus is back in Imperial hands, as seen by their Expedition bringing back a plunder of Neotech from the T'au Sept called Vesh'yo {{Fn|9}}
