In 006.[[M31]] it was on patrol near [[Advex-Mors]], during the last years of the [[Great Crusade]], when the ''Invidious '' was contacted by the world's garrison commander [[Praetor (Rank)|Knight-Praetor]] [[Kordray Mordred]]. The [[Sons of Horus]] had [[Horus Heresy|launched]] a [[Treachery at Advex-Mors|surprise attack]] on the garrison{{Fn|1b}}, to claim the [[Rangdan Xenocides]] arsenal they defended{{Fn|1a}} and the Knight-Praetor Mordred asked for the [[Promethean Class Cruiser]]cruiser's aid.
