Chertes was an Imperial World.[1]
The world once had a Adeptus Mechanicus enclave on its moon and the planet itself was populated by roughly twelve billion humans. It was then the site of a Genestealer rebellion and was thereafter consumed by a Tyranid hive fleet, leaving only a dead barren rock behind.[1]
