==Biography==

Spire was born on an Imperial world that eventually rebelled, tarnishing his reputation. Regardless, he remained loyal and rose to [[Imperial Navy Captain|captain]] in the Imperial Navy. In 139.[[M41]], Spire led a [[Dauntless Light Cruiser]] of the [[Battlefleet Gothic]] into the [[Naxos system]] to investigate the loss of contact with [[Orbital Station Aleph]]. He and his forces found the station overrun by [[heretic]]s and encountered a large Chaos fleet, but were able to jump back into the [[Warp]] before being destroyed.{{Fn|1}}
