Once not far from the [[Eye of Terror]], now it lies almost at the edge of the [[Segmentum Obscurus]] close to the [[Halo Stars]]. The explanation of this phenomenon is that Chinchare orbits a rogue star; plagued by gravitic storms, the whole Chinchare System wanders through the fringes of the Halo Stars at the edge of Imperial space.{{Fn|5}}
In the millennia between [[M30]] and [[M40]], it reached the [[Pymbyle Major System]] and [[Pymbyle Minor System]], and had suffered two serious cosmological collisions.{{Fn|5}} By [[M41]] it had 6 planets and a fan of asteroid belts.{{Fn|4}}
