Slave Ogryn Gangs are ogryns from Necromunda who have rebelled against their overseers and now fight together to preserve their freedom. While their existence is dismissed in the hive cities, House gangers know that these reports are true, and what ogryn slaves lack in numbers and intelligence, they more than make up for in strength.[1a]

Overview
Ogryns, typically loyal and docile abhumans, are used extensively as slave labour and servitors on Necromunda, particularly by House Goliath. Their immense strength and resistance to corruption make them ideal for harsh manufactorum work and brutal fighting pits.[1a]
Despite their loyalty, some ogryns develop a sense of self and desire for freedom in the fighting pits, leading to the formation of rebellious gangs. These gangs, led by powerful leaders, often engage in mass slave rebellions and become outlaws.[1a]
Ogryn gangs are known to inhabit the badzones, with frequent sightings by explorers and settlements sometimes encountering them. These gangs may occasionally ally with human pit fighters and outlaws, but they remain independent to avoid capture by guilders or enforcers. Famous ogryn leaders and gangs include the Metalheads, led by Bull Gorg, and the Ash Giants, led by rogue Colonel Eli Dayz.[1b]
Organisation
Slave Ogryn gangs are primarily formed from abhuman pit fighters, although occasionally factorum crews or Guilder bodyguards may also turn outlaw. These pit fighters are adept in close-quarters combat and use brutal gladiatorial weapons like rock drills and buzzsaws. While some Ogryns learn to handle ranged weapons, this is rare. The cramped spaces of the hive favour their melee combat skills, where their immense strength is a significant advantage.[1b]
Leadership is crucial for these gangs, with intelligent and strong-willed leaders holding the group together. These leaders are often former pit slaves or bodyguards. Some members (never the leaders) are B.O.N.C.E.s (Brain Obedient Neo-sapien Cybernetic Exo-workers) — heavily augmented ogryn mono-task servitors with limited free will but strong loyalty.[1b]
Slave Ogryn Gangs Personnel
- Ogryn Overboss, the leader of a slave ogryn gang[1c]
- Ogryn Underboss, a strong member, considered a champion of its gang[1d]
- Slave Ogryn, the rank and file ganger[1e]
- Lobo-slave, lobotomized and dull-witted muscle[1f]
