Like many feudal worlds, Calderis's [[Planetary Governor]] lives in orbit around the planet, and makes sure that the [[tithe]]s of men and ores are properly paid. Owing to the planet's harsh, arid climate, the locals are hardy and good stock for recruitment of [[Space Marines]]. Throughout the centuries, however, Calderis has suffered several outbreaks of [[Feral Ork]]s.
