The 99th Elysian Drop Troops Regiment was a former Astra Militarum Regiment that had served on Moloch, Hamman's World, and Moran. Following the regiment's almost complete destruction at the hands of Hive Fleet Behemoth, the regiment was seconded to the Inquisition where it underwent surgical enhancments to become Detachment D-99.[1]
