The Iconarch carries a grand icon, banner or totem dedicated to [[Chaos]]. They are chosen for the blessings they already possess - be this a mutation or a strange affliction, but it is a dubious honour, for the bearer is constantly saturated with its foul aura.{{CMEFn|1}}{{Fn|2a}}
Each cult has its own icon, formed from scraps, bones, ammunition casings or numerous other materials which is steeped in the warp's power, radiating its energy. Some even incorporate braziers that burn noxious resins, hallucinatory biochems or vials of daemonic ichor to drive the Cult's followers into a fervour or hide their activities.{{CMEFn|2a}}
