Novamarines

Background

The Novamarines are a Successor Chapter of the Ultramarines Legion, created in the Second Founding. The power armour of the Novamarines is quartered blue and bone. The Chapter's symbol is of a haloed skull.

Notable Battles

• Damocles Crusade. The Novamarines saw intense fighting against the Tau empire.

• Lithesh Sector Crusade: successful crusade to eliminate Tau influence in the Lithesh Sector, among the planets fought over was Kronus.

• Badab War:¹ The Novamarines were committed to space-lane duties to relieve other Chapters recalled to their normal service duties.

• The cleansing of the genestealer-infested Space Hulk codenamed Death of Integrity, along with the Blood Drinkers chapter. Members of the Terminator clad First Company of both chapters led the assault. A 53:1 kill ratio was achieved. Total annihilation of the infestation was confirmed and the Hulk was examined for STC materials.³

• 13th Black Crusade.² The Novamarines contributed six Companies to the defense against the Thirteenth Black Crusade.

• Involved in street fighting during the Luxor Uprising.⁴
