18 primarchs were found but 2 were missing. During the Horus Heresy 9 Primarchs remained loyal yet the other 9 turned into chaos as reported iin grimore hereticus.
All was not lost however, as the Emperor still had the gene-sequences of the Primarchs and went on to create the [[Space Marines]] organizing them into large [[Space Marine Legions]].
