M2 or the 2nd Millennium is a millennium within the Imperial Dating System.

There is a lack of clarity over whether 000.M2 or 001.M2 is the first year of the millennium, and whether 999.M2 or 000.M2 is the last year of the millennium. Most sources state that 001.M2 is the first year and 000.M2 the last year. Since the creation of these articles Lexicanum has worked off of what is stated in the 5th Edition Rulebook, that being that 000.M2 is the first year, and 999.M2 is the last. Events in 000.M2 thus may have been either at the start or end of the millennium. For more information see here.

945.M2[9]	The Cabal recruits Damon Prytanis during the Battle of Iwo Jima[9]
991.M2[10]	Ollanius Persson is a soldier during the Battle of 73 Easting[10]
