16th Chapter, Ultramarines Legion
The 16th Chapter of the Ultramarines Legion is known to have been active during the Great Crusade[1a] and Horus Heresy.[2a]

- Battle of Calth: At full strength by the start of the Battle of Calth, the 16th Chapter was deployed alongside most of the legion at Numinus City.[2a] After the initial treason by the Word Bearers, the 16th Chapter was able to retreat from the plains of Barrtor thanks to the sacrifice of the loyalist Anuaris Taghmata contingents.[2c] Elements of the 16th Chapter subsequently counter-attacked and eventually broke the Traitor Imperial Army forces occupying the Dera Caren Lowlands, and later destroyed retreating Word Bearers forces in the wastes around the Holophusikon.[2b]
